Terms of Service
Last updated: July 19, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of EventRight (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
The Service
EventRight provides tools for organizers to create events, manage guest lists, customize public RSVP pages, and send invitations. Guests use public event pages to identify themselves and submit RSVPs. Features, plan limits, and pricing are described on our website and may change with reasonable notice.
Accounts
- You must provide accurate registration information and keep your credentials secure.
- When invite-only registration is enabled, new accounts require a valid invite code issued by EventRight.
- You are responsible for all activity under your account.
- You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to create an organizer account.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Upload unlawful, harassing, defamatory, or misleading content
- Send unsolicited messages or contact people without proper consent, including compliance with the TCPA and applicable state telemarketing and privacy laws
- Enter phone numbers into EventRight without permission to text those individuals about your event
- Attempt to bypass guest-list matching, plan limits, security controls, or abuse protections
- Reverse engineer, scrape, or overload the Service
- Use the Service in violation of applicable laws or third-party rights
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, appear on our abuse controls, or pose a risk to guests or the platform.
SMS and email communications
Organizers are solely responsible for obtaining consent before adding phone numbers to a guest list or sending SMS or email invitations through EventRight. You must only message guests who expect to hear from you about your event.
SMS delivery depends on mobile carriers, devices, and regional regulations. Delivery is not guaranteed. SMS volumes are limited by plan due to carrier costs; email invitations are included on all plans unless otherwise stated on our pricing page.
Recipients may opt out of SMS by replying STOP. See our SMS Terms of Use for full consent and opt-out details.
You are responsible for the content of messages you compose and send through the Service.
One-time purchases and billing
Event plans and SMS add-ons are one-time purchases per event, processed through third-party payment processors. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law or explicitly stated otherwise. Each plan includes a fixed period during which your public event page remains active (3, 6, or 12 months depending on plan). After that period, the public page may be taken offline until a new plan is purchased.
Registry and payment links
Organizers may add registry, payment, or gift links to their event pages. EventRight does not process guest payments, verify third-party links, or guarantee the accuracy of external registries. Guests interact with external services at their own risk. Always confirm details with the event host before sending gifts or money.
Privacy
Our collection and use of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy. EventRight does not sell personal information.
Third-party services
The Service relies on third-party providers for payments, messaging, email delivery, hosting, analytics, and security. We are not responsible for outages, errors, or policy changes by those providers. Your use of certain features may also be subject to those providers' separate terms and privacy practices.
Intellectual property
EventRight owns the Service, templates, branding, and software. You retain ownership of content you upload. You grant us a limited license to host, display, and transmit your event content as needed to operate the Service.
Disclaimer of warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE OPERATION.
Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, EventRight AND ITS OPERATORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100), WHICHEVER IS GREATER.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability; in those cases, our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless EventRight and its operators from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your content, your communications to guests, your failure to obtain required consent, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.
Content standards and event removal
EventRight may review, disable, or permanently remove any event page, guest list, invite content, or related materials at any time if we determine—in our sole discretion—that they violate these Terms, our policies, applicable law, or pose a risk to users, guests, or the platform. Examples include illegal activity, hate speech, spam, harassment, fraud, or other abusive content.
Removal or suspension of an event for policy violations does not entitle you to a refund of any event plan fees, SMS add-ons, or other amounts paid. Payments are non-refundable when content is removed for violation of these Terms or our policies, except where a refund is required by law.
Guests and the public may report events they believe violate our policies. We may investigate reports and take action without prior notice to the organizer when necessary to protect users or comply with law.
Changes and termination
We may modify these Terms or discontinue features with notice where practicable. You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violations, legal requirements, or to protect the platform and its users.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where mandatory consumer protections in your home state apply.
